First Aid for Cats and Dogs Lecture (Video)

October 23, 2018, Dr. Simon Hagley delivered the presentation "First Aid for Cats and Dogs." At the UC Davis veterinary hospital's emergency room, we provide immediate initial recognition, evaluation, and care of patients with acute illness and injury, and ongoing care for critically ill or injured dogs and cats 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In a typical year in the ER, we treat nearly 5,000 patients. Emergency medicine rapidly evaluates patients to determine the severity of their problem and provides stabilization, treatment, and diagnostic testing. In this lecture, Dr. Simon Hagley reviews some basic first aid tips for cats and dogs, as well as what you can do in an emergency situation to best help your pet.
